OAKDALE CEMETERY
De Land, VOLUSIA COUNTY
800 North Clara Ave
In a special meeting Oct. 13, 1892 the Cemetery was named Oakdale by the Cemetery Committee.
In 1971 Daphnee Brownell surveyed the headstones and made a book for the South Brevard Historical Society, She was a quite an active genealogist and much of her work is in the Genealogy room of the De Land Library
This is a large cemetery so I am breaking it up in alphabetical
order so it will be faster loading.
You still need to use "Edit" and "Find" as the names are not
in alphabetical
order. Be careful of the spelling.
It is finished July 29, 2006 Thanks from help by Wilma Wilkins & Liz Whitaker.
Note: There are many graves without headstones and some that are
old and cannot be read, If you see a Funeral home name with marker behind it
there is only the marker and not a headstone.
Many headstones have birth dates prior to 1900 and no death date, If they are
not in the Social Security Death index there will not be a death date.
Due to human data input there are most likely typing errors, If you see one and
have the time please email me with the correction and I will take care of it.
If you know of someone buried there and it is not listed send me there info
"Name, Birth & Death dates" and I will add them.
I do not have the cemetery records.
