Groover Cemetery
Ormond Beach, Volusia County, Fla.

This cemetery is located in Tymber Creek subdivision west of Ormond off S.R. 40 and is fenced and maintained by the subdivision association. It is in a vacant lot located between two homes. Steve Shirah also helped me locate this one.
I was told that at one time there were over 30 headstones in the cemetery but due to vandalism there are only 10 left. They were mostly Civil War soldiers buried there after the war. One soldier was said to have been killed during the war at Groover Creek 100 yards to the west. There are several recently broken headstones without any information on them. 10/23/98

If I can have it said of me
When ended is my time of toil
That I have fought to helpful be
And have not labored just for spoil
I'll great death's angel with a smile
And take his hand and journey on
