Conrad F. Yelvington
12/13/2018
We have some very sad news to share with all of you today. CYD's Founder and Former Owner, Conrad Yelvington, passed away peacefully in the early morning of Thursday December 13th. With his passing, CYD has lost part of the heart and soul that started our company in 1948. Conrad's foresight and determination to build a lasting legacy for his family began with just a single truck. Today his legacy and the successful company he helped to build are recognized and respected across multiple industries and communities.
Conrad leaves behind not only his wife of 70 years, Margaret, his daughter Darlene, son Gary, daughter-in-law Suzi and grandchildren, Chadd & Jourdan, and all those that may have been fortunate enough to meet and work with this amazing entrepreneur and visionary. His determined and resolute spirit will unquestionably live on as the foundation of Conrad Yelvington Distributors. A Celebration of Life with Military Honors, will be held on Sunday January 6th, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Yelvington Jet Aviation, 2326 Bellevue Avenue Extension, Daytona Beach, FL 32114. In lieu of flowers, please consider a Christian Charity in memory of Conrad Yelvington. Condolences may be shared with the family through the on-line guestbook at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Lohman Funeral Home, 1201 Dunlawton Ave., Port Orange, FL 386-761-1100.
