Ruth Deen is the daughter of Alexander Hamilton Stephens Deen and Sarah Frances Williams Deen (later Pope) . (Sarah remarried after her first husband died. She is buried between her two husbands in the Deen Family Cemetery and their triple tombstone is pictured on Sarah's FAG page)
Ruth Deen and John Arthur Pierce were married on 15 December 1907. John was a few days shy being 18 years old. Ruth was only 14 years old!! They were married 43+ years until John's death (Ruth was married 2 more times after John's death).
Ruth and John Arthur Pierce share a tombstone and her name on the stone reads, "Mother" Ruth P. Grayson". (Grayson was her second husband, Boggs was her last husband--not sure which family member decided what name to put on the stone)
