Mrs. Shank
VALLEY - Mrs. Mary L. Shank, 100 of Valley died Saturday at Gehorge H. Lanier Memorial Nusing Home in Valley.
Funeral services are scheduled for today at 2 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church in Valley with the Rev. Robert Crawford and the Rev. Bill Middlebrooks officiating. Burial will follow in Glass Cemetery.
Mrs. Shank is survived by two sons, Harold Shank of Fairfax, and Phil Shank of Atlanta, Ga.; One daughter Mrs. Sara Burns of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A native of Chambers County, Mrs. Shank was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Valley. She was a lifelong resident of Chambers County. She was a school teacher and also very active in the community.
The family respectfully decline the gift of flowers and ask that donations be made to the Fairview Baptist Church or one's favorite charity.
The family received friends Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
