DAYTONA BEACH - Charles Frederick "C. Fred" McNary, 61, of Vine Street, a native and lifelong resident of DeLand, died Monday at Medical Center Central, Macon, Ga.
Mr. McNary was a graduate of Mainland High School, Daytona Beach Junior College, Rollins College and Palmer College of Chiropractic. He formerly taught in the Volusia County School System and later practiced as a chiropractor in the Daytona Beach area. He was a member of the Church of the Latter-day Saints, Daytona Beach and the Salvation Army, a lifetime member of James F. Hull Camp-Sons of the Confederate Veterans, holding several offices, and he was a lifetime member and former state commander of Military Order of Stars and Bars.
Survivors include his mother, Virginia McNary, Daytona Beach. Woodward, Holly Hill, is in charge.

Thomas Rigdon was a private in the South Carolina Militia from 1781 to May 27, 1785 in the Revolutionary War . He served under Col. Bratton and Gen. Sumter during the 1781 campaigns.
He married Amy O'Neal, and moved to Georgia in the 1780s after the war. He was living in Bulloch County in the time of the 1805 land lottery. He received Land Lot # 14 section BB, on October 31, 1808. Thomas sold to Solomon Wood of Jefferson County 202 1/2 acres for $500, Lot #180 in the 12 th. district of Jones County, formerly Baldwin.
