Mr. R.D. Whedbee was born in the State of Tennessee, in 1863. His father was born in Virginia and his mother was born in Tennessee. His mother's ancestors fought in the French/Indian War. There were several of his uncles lost in the Civil War. The uncles fought on the Union side.
Mr. Whedbee's father died in Scott County, Arkansas, in September 1901.
Mr. R.D. Whedbee married Altonia Milam of Greenwood, Arkansas (born 1863), in 1884.
He was the father of Leora Whedbee(b. 18 Sept 1885); William B. Whedbee(born 16 Nov 1887); Oliver Whedbee(b. 10 Feb 1893); Benjamin Whedbee(?); Dudley Whedbee(b. 10 Jan 1891); Lennet Lenora(b. 25 Nov 1897); and Nellie E. (b. 18 Nov 1899).
