[2020] Isham David Walker Sr. is the son of Joel Walker and Sarah Mosely of Henrico County, VA. I believe Isham was born in Henrico County, VA and his middle name is David. Joel and Sarah Walker had a son named David who was born in 1735. Isham had a grandson named Isham David Walker who lived in Colleton County, SC. Isham had a brother named Joel Walker who left Virginia and came to Georgia in 1766 to Burke County GA, present day Jefferson County, GA and Isham came with him. Isham was a inhabitant of the State of Georgia according to Col. John Baker at the start of the Revolutionary War. He also stated that Isham became a "refugee" when the British invaded Georgia. Col. John Baker said Isham was a "good soldier and friend to this United States." This was a record that was signed by Col. John Baker in 1784. This record was wrote at Sunbury, GA in Liberty County "by his hand", Col. John Baker said. Probably during the Revolutionary War and after, Isham Walker Sr. lived in Colleton County, SC. Sometimes after the War he came back to Georgia and lived in Liberty County, GA, where his nephew Joel Walker, son of Joel Walker of Jefferson County, GA, lived. Isham then lived in Glynn and Camden County areas. And then finally settled near the "Gardi Branch" in Wayne County, GA. Isham died in Wayne County, GA around 1818. His widow, Mary, took part in the 1827 Georgia Land Lottery with the Wayne County, GA residents. The record list her as "Mary Walker, widow, RS". She was the widow of a Revolutionary War Soldier.
