MANOR WOMAN DIES SUDDENLY
Yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the home of E. M. Herrin at Manor, Mrs. M. V. Purdom, 67 years old died suddenly after an illness of several months. She suffered a stroke of paralysis some time ago and has been in bad health ever since but her death was not expected, coming as a great shock to her family and friends.
Mrs. Purdom is survived by seven children. The daughter are Mrs. E. M. Herrin and Mrs. M. E. [W]orsley, of Manor; Mrs. T. M. Booth, Mrs J. N. Newsome, and Mrs. C.C. Cagle, of Jacksonville, and the sons T. M. Purdom of Waycross, and A. B. Purdom of Palatka, FLa.
The funeral will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Jesup. Funeral arrangement are in charge of W. L. Henson of this city.

Mrs. M. V. Purdom has a CSA pension application on line under Ware County in the GA Archives. She says she married Allen B Purdom . He enlisted in 1862 and served with Co. A of the 4th GA Cavalry as a private until the war was over. She says he died in Jesup, GA on Oct 8, 1883.
