ALLMAN, VIVIAN P., Mr. Vivian P. Allman, age 95, left his earthly home Sunday, February 3, 2008, to be with his beloved wife Flora, who were married 69 years. He passed peacefully at his daughter's home in Enterprise, FL surrounded by loved ones. Born in Osteen, FL, Mr. Allman a longtime and upstanding resident of that community, was the eldest member of the Osteen United Methodist Church. In his days, Vivian worked mainly in the Timber and Citrus industries and one of his main passions in life, was being an avid gardener, raising large quantities of fruits and vegetables for family, friends and neighbors. He was such a loving, caring and generous man, who never hesitated to help others when they were in need and will be dearly missed by all. Mr. Allman was preceded by his lovely wife, Flora; sister Pearl; brothers, Alfred, Jasper, King, Eddie, Wood "Ruff" and Charlie. He is survived by his son, Jasper (JL) and wife Jeanette of Osteen, daughter Joyce Clutter Parker of Osteen, daughter Joann and husband F.C. (Pete) Peterman of Enterprise, FL, son Paul of Inglis, FL and daughter-in-law Samruay (Pin) Allman of Osteen. He was blessed with eight grandchildren, William Clutter of Osteen, Dwayne Clutter of Ormond Beach, Jake Allman and wife Dawn of Liberty, MO, Cindy Clutter of Osteen, Johnny Allman and wife Teri of Osteen, Brenda Chestnut and husband Jeff of Osteen, Verna Buskirk of Orlando and Tracy Allman of Deltona. He also has nine great grandchildren, Chad and Brock Allman, Brian, Michael and Joey Chestnut, Ross, Reed, Emma and Ellie Allman; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brisson Funeral Home, 905 S. Laurel Avenue in Sanford, where friends and family may call and gather to pay their respects Wednesday, February 6th from 5-7PM. Funeral services will be held at the Osteen United Methodist Church, 179 Carpenter Avenue, Osteen, FL Thursday, February 7th at 11AM, followed by internment services at the Osteen Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his honor to the wonderful and caring people of Hospice of Volusia, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129 or Osteen United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 88, Osteen, FL 32764.
