[8520] Jane E. MITCHELL was born Nov. 25, 1815, in Bedford county, Virginia, and died February 24, 1901, at her home near Sledd, Mo. She was married to George T. REYNOLDS Jan. 15, 1836. They came to Missouri in 1846 and located in Pike county; they moved to this county nearly 50 years ago and lived on the same farm ever since. Mrs. REYNOLDS was the mother of 13 children. Her husband departed this life 23 years ago. Eight children are left to mourn her loss6 boys and 2 girls. Twenty four grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one brother, Tapley MITCHELL of Whiteside, and one sister, Mrs. Ellen MITCHELL of near Eolia. Mrs. REYNOLDS had been a member of the Baptist church for many years. Wherever there was sickness or affliction, grandma was sure to be found. She will be greatly missed, but our loss will be her gain. After six long weeks of suffering the weary spirit fled its tenement of clay to find peace and rest in its eternal home. Grandma has gone to her reward.
