HAMLIN [Lincoln Co.], Jan. 12 (Special)Mrs. Ellen Woodall, 72, died this a.m. today at her home near Hamlin after an illness of several weeks. She was the widow of William Woodall.
Surviving are two sons, Hursey and Hurxel, both of Hamlin; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Stewart, Kayford; a sister, Mrs. Alice Sink, Decatur, Tenn.; a brother, James Alford, Hurricane, and 10 grandchildren.
Service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Koontz mortuary at Hamlin. Burial will be in the Evans Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews and flower girls, nieces.

John Flanagan Beall -MACON, GA - Dennis John Flanagan Beall, age 76, died Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Lynn Haven Nursing Home in Gray, where he had resided
since November 2003. A Rosary service will be held at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street, 6:30 PM., Sunday, April 29 with visitation following. A funeral mass will be held at since November 2003. Monday, April 30 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Macon with burial in Riverside Cemetery following the mass. Msgr. John Cuddy will officiate. -Mr. Beall, a native Maconite, was the oldest son of Holst Clay Beall, Sr. and Mary Lou (Polly). Horton Beall. A lifelong member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, he served as Parish Council Chairman and as Director of Ushers. Mr. Beall was educated in Bibb County, graduating from Lanier High School. He attended Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Miami, and Mercer University. Mr. Beall served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After returning from the war, he received a Bachelor of Business degree from Louisiana State University School of Banking. -Mr. Beall was the proprietor of Ross Chemical Company and was later involved with his father Holst Sr. and brother Holst Jr. as partners in many businesses including Beall Brothers Service Station, Beall Oil Company. The Mansion Motor Hotel, Exotic Lands Inc., and Beall Financial Planning. The Beall family founded the Peoples Bank & Trust Company in Macon, where Mr. Beall served as President and Director. After selling the bank in the mid-1970s, Mr. Beall, along with his brother, purchased a True Value Hardware dealership, operating Banner True Value Hardware stores in Macon, Lizella, and Byron until his retirement. -Mr. Beall was a member of many civic organizations. The Macon Elks Lodge was an important part of his life, serving at all levels of leadership including Exalted Ruler. He was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus, a Macon Exchange Club member, and a member of Mensa. Mr. Beall was a long-time member of the Satilla River Club. He was also a member of The Georgia Branch of the Huguenot Society of the Founders of Manakin in the Colony of Virginia. -Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 53 years. Edwina Hall Beall; two daughters and husbands, Denise Beall Fritze and James Fritze of Macon; Margaret Beall Cohen and Jeffrey Cohen of Alpharetta; four grandchildren, Jimmy and Maggie Fritze of Macon, Morgan and Thomas Cohen of Alpharetta; brother and wife. Holst C. and Vida Beall; three nephews and families, Jim and Ann Beall of Macon, Holst and Patricia Beall of Alpharetta, Gordon and Char Hearn of Sarasota, Florida; and one niece, Sharon Hearn Gray and Jim Gray of Orlando, Florida; several great- nieces and nephews. -The family wishes to express appreciation to the staff of Lynn Haven for their love and support during Mr. Beall's illness. Angela Virginia Malphurs Allman, 70. The Lord has called home a precious angel on April 18th. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse P. Allman.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She is survived by three sons, Thomas (Christine), Tony (Natalie), Raymond (Dianne); and two daughters, Laurie Allman, and Julia Wiggins (Robert). She has eight grandchildren; Bryon, Sarah, Nikki, Britney, Kasey, Taylor, Stacey, Tyler; and four great grandchildren, Brendan, Justin, Dylan, and Elizabeth. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory one sister, Mary MacFadden (John); two brothers Leslie Malphurs, John Malphurs (Peanut); brother-in-law Jr. Allman (Bobbie); and sister-in-law Louise Platt (Stanley); along with several nephews, nieces, and friends. Angela loved reading, fishing, and most of all her family, especially the children.
She loved any gathering that kept her close to those she loved. She was always willing to help anyone in need and never asked for anything in return. She was a very strong minded person who said how she felt, but did so with a gentle hand.
Services will be handled by Dale Woodward Funeral Homes, 167 Ridgewood Ave., Holly Hill. The viewing will be held on Saturday, April 21st from 10:00am until 12:00pm, followed by the chapel service and committal service at the graveside. She will be laid to rest beside her loving husband at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery, in Ormond Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Halifax Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129, where she was taken care of with loving and gentle hands.
