Jacob N. Driggers was born in Bullock County, Georgia in September of 1815, the son of William and Millie Lastinger Parker Driggers, and grandson of Jonas Driggers, revolutionary War Soldier. Prior to 1830, the Driggers family migrated to Lowndes County, Georgia settling on the east side of the Alapaha river near the present town of Stockton.
About 1840 Jacob N. Driggers married Nancy Jernigan Glisson. She was born about 1820 [according to her tombstone] and had been married to Bryant Glisson.
Jacob N. Driggers enlisted as a private at Jasper, Florida, in Captain William C. Newberns company. This was in General Floyd's regiment of Georgia and he served from September 20, 1839 to December 20, 1839. At the time of his enlistment he gave his age as 28 years, height 5' 10', blue eyes,

[8418] Mrs. Lou Annie Rigdon, age 81, died Tuesday at her home near Lee. She was born in Georgia but had lived in Florida a number of years. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She is survived by one son Floyd Rigdon and two sisters, Mrs. T. W. Hendrix of Clyattville, GA and Mrs. A. A. Collins of Jacksonville Beach and two grandchildren.
